Welcome to TheSaraService.com Real Estate Blog

This is the first posting in TheSaraService.com Real Estate Blog. As a result it may be a little rusty, however over the coming days, weeks, months and years I will be honing my writing Brazil Apartmentskills to bring daily updates on the world of international real estate and investment property. As we speak, this is the 10th May 2008, the world of real estate is a trifle turbulent, with various markets undulating between positions of falling prices and changing interest.

The Situation Today

As a whole, I believe there is no actual slowdown in the international real estate market today, however there is a major shift happening in terms of where people are buying and also what people are buying. Although Spain, a traditional tiger in the international property market, seems to be experiencing a price-drop, real estate agents in the region are still reporting good business. However there is an undeniable trend these days to more affordable property investment, with emerging markets such as Brazil, and even far-off Malaysia, taking a healthy chunk out the international expenditure. Buyers remain wary, however, with falling prices in the UK keeping buyers edgy, while in the US, the sub-prime aftershocks are still being reported.

So Where to Next?

Where to next indeed? Stay tuned to find out as I attempt to analyse (yes, I am European and spell differently!) the market on a daily basis through this blog. Certainly there is a huge future for the real estate market, as if it is true that 'what goes up must come down' then the inverse is just as true, that 'what goes down must also come up'. There is still a lot of money to made on the international property market today if you choose wisely about what you are selling, where you are selling it and to whom you are selling it.
