False inspections Warning to residents on the Costa del Sol, Spain
Beware of Bogus workmen posing as ''safety inspectors'' for Gas, electricity and water supplies. They may be in uniform and even carry documentation but they are not on official duty - utility companies DO NOT offer this service.

We would like to warn you, via this communication, of the possible presence of people in the area, even correctly uniformed, knocking on people’s door pretending to carry out inspections of facilities such as gas, water, electricity, etc. We assume that they are trying to find out how vulnerable the homes are in order to commit robberies or demand even paying an amount for an “official” safety check.
Please be alert to any suspicion and prevent these individuals from accessing your homes, since in general the companies supplying services do not perform this type of home inspections.

Advertirles a través de este comunicado de la posible presencia de personas, incluso correctamente uniformadas, que están llamando a los domicilios de la zona fingiendo practicar inspecciones de instalaciones como el gas, agua, electricidad, etc. Suponemos que intentan averiguar hasta qué punto son vulnerables estas viviendas para posteriormente cometer robos en las mismas, o solicitar incluso el pago de alguna cantidad tras realizar una comprobación “oficial”.
Rogamos estén en alerta ante cualquier sospecha y eviten que estos individuos accedan a sus viviendas, ya que en general las compañías suministradoras de servicios no realizan este tipo de inspecciones a domicilio.
