Information on El Rosario
The area known as El Rosario is situated approximately half way between Calahonda and Marbella. There are some fantastic beaches here, and
also a new beach club called Bonos Beach which is very popular with the 'in crowd'. The area lies about 45 minutes from Malaga airport and
just over an hour from Gibraltar Airport.
Because of its location, it is extremely popular with residents and holiday makers alike - there is a centre of El Rosario, with bars,
restaurants, supermarkets etc. Also the majority of the accomodations are within easy reach of the local transport links available. There
are many differnet types of properties available here, from villas, to apartments - so something for everyone. The area is popular with ex
pats so you will not experience any problems when relocating to this area as there is always someone on hand with advice or who has
experienced the same problem before you.
For families the area is approximately 30 minutes from Tivoli World (a theme park) in Benalmadena, and about 30 minutes in the other
direction to Selwo safari park. A 10 minute drive will find you in central Marbella, with its beautiful promenade, cobbled streets in the
old town leading up to Orange Square and shops galore. El Rosario is situated only 15 minutes drive to the famous Puerto Banus where you
can dine and drink at some of the most happening venues on the coast.
Another happening beach club is Nikki Beach in Elviria so only a short drive away - go here for star spotting and watching the rich and
famous arrive on their yachts to be ferried ashore by speedboat! Nikki beach is a great place to spend the day, but also a night club as
darkness falls.
El Rosario lies more or less in the midde of the stretch of the Costa del Sol from Benalmadena to Estepona so you are able to travel easily
along the coast, and so is situated within easy reach of all the coast has to offer.
