Estepona, despite being catapulted into the tourism industry along with the rest of the Costa del Sol, still exudes oodles of character and maintains a wonderful air of Spanish charm.

There is also a lovely tourist market held here every Sunday morning that is popular with both the tourists and locals.
Golfers can enjoy being in the middle of some fabulous Golf courses Such as Estepona Golf (6k), Atalaya North (15k) and Atalaya South (15k), Los Almendros (5k) and Flamingos Golf (10k). All of these clubs are open to non-members, and you can hire equipment on site, and lessons and tuition is available for people of all skill levels.
Estepona has a truly fascinating history and this history has been captured by four wonderful museums all located in the Bullring which can be visited all year round, free of charge. The Bullring, although not used anywhere as much today, still holds around 16 bullfights a year, mainly on Sunday afternoons; the most popular fight is held during the Estepona feria towards the beginning of July. During the summertime there are also concerts and events held in the bullring, advertised by posters in and around the town.
For anyone with a young family Selwo Adventure is a definite must see! Located 10k out from the town (at junction 165 on the N340 motorway) and with its mix of exotic animals, safari trucks, archery, camel rides, aviary and beautiful landscaped gardens, this trip is a real treat.
