Fuengirola and Marbella then have a main bus station if you want to take your journey further and Fuengirola also has a train station which can goes as far as Malaga with connecting trains elsewhere. La Cala also has a taxi rank in the middle of the town outside Biddy Mulligan’s Irish pub.

There is plenty to do nearby. Obviously Golfers have a course right on their doorstep at Calanova Golf but there are plenty more courses to choose from within a short distance. Other sports are in there plenty with tennis, paddle, squash, and not to mention the many different variety of water sports and not forgetting the snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding in the resort of Sierra Nevada which is just an hour and a half away at the most. Restaurant opposite the BP Garage in la Cala. There are lots of good pubs and bars and La Cala even has its own trendy club called Solutions which is popular more so with the younger generation. La Cala is only a small ton and so you see more boutiques than your everyday high street shops, so it’s great to pick up something unique that nobody else will have! You also get your touristy shops that sell souvenirs and buckets and spades etc and there are two of the big Spanish supermarkets Mercadona and Supersol for all your weekly groceries. You can also find a number of banks, bread shops, laundrettes, ferreteria’s and Chinese shops where you can get pretty much everything you could ever need but if not – Fuengirola is 10 minutes away by car and if you can’t get it there you can’t get it!
