surrounding areas. The name Las Colinas de Calahonda translates in english to The Hills of Calahonda and is aptly named as it sits near the top of a beautiful winding hill starting, but still well within walking distance of, the Calahonda Strip; the main drinking and eating area. For those who don't have a car or who prefer not to walk after eating a meal, there is an open-sided shuttle trolley running up and down alll day during the summer months.
Las Colinas de Calahonda is a very popular urbanisation with holidaymakers who make use of the exemplary pool facilities all year round. The wimming pool is situated in the beautiful open plan gardens and is accissible from the many elevators which carry residents up and down the tiered development. The pool is manned during the summer by a lifeguard and has a relaxed policy towards residents, allowing children to play with inflatables, providing a barbecue area for throwing an open party and generally allowing people to get on with their leisure time without the hassle of too many rules (a more common feature nowadays of newer urbanisations.)
The swimming pool is not deep and is safe for children of all sizes, however for toddlers and the not-so-strong swimmers there is a subtly-made

toddlers area with shallow water and underwater barriers to prevent them from straying into the larger pool area.
The development of Las Colinas de Calahonda consists of 2 and 3-bedroom apartments, most of which have a terrace overloking the gardens and pool. The apartments are not huge in area size, however what they may lack in size they make up for in character. Each of the apartments have their own unique style, with those on or near the ground floor having patio doors which open on to the gardens, allowing a closer communal bond with neighbours. The upper apartments are bright and airy and with lots of window space offer views of the gardens and, more importantly, all over Calahonda and out to the Mediterranean Sea, making for a refreshing home experience.
Las Colinas de Calahonda has a private car park right outside in the development grounds, with more parking spaces available on the road outside. The road is not a busy thoroughfare meaning that in general it is a safe place to park your car at night etc.
